Product Description
EN598 is a European standard for ductile iron pipes, fittings, and accessories used for the conveyance of water and other liquids. A flange spigot is a type of pipe fitting that consists of a spigot end (a plain end of a pipe) and a flange end (a circular plate with holes used to bolt the fitting to another object). The spigot end is inserted into a matching socket or hub, and then the flange end is bolted to another flange or surface.
Flange spigots are commonly used in pipeline systems for connecting two pipes or joining a pipe to a pump, valve, or other equipment. They allow for easy assembly and disassembly of the piping system without the need for welding, which can be time-consuming and costly. Flange spigots are available in different sizes, pressure ratings, and materials to suit various applications and operating conditions.
AS PER EN598 Internal high-Aluminum cement mortar lining comply with ISO4179, external Zinc coating (min.130g/m2) according to ISO8179 + red epoxy painting (min.70μm) according to BS3416. Flange drilling EN1092-2, PN10/PN16/PN25/PN40.
Lining Selection:
As per the corrosivity of delivered water, anti-corrosion linings of the ductile iron pipes and fittings can be divided into three categories:
* Standard lining: Applicable for most raw water and portable water;
* Reinforced anti-corrosion lining: Applicable for water which can attack ordinary cement (soft water, slightly acidic water or highly abrosive water);
* Special lining: Applicable for very special cases or corrosive water (e.g. industrial discharged water)
Product Features
Water supply systems: EN598 flange spigot is often used to connect pipes in water supply systems, including water mains, distribution networks, and service connections.
Sewage systems: The joint is also commonly used in sewage systems to connect pipes in sewer mains, force mains, and gravity sewers.
Irrigation systems: The joint can be used in irrigation systems to connect pipes that transport water for agricultural purposes.
